A teacher has a big role in developing students personality ,it could be for the best or the worst. And is an oriented for the child future,to choose a major that suits his/her ability.
As a teacher I find that it have multiple roles : instructor,counselor,guider,... to be an effective teacher it is not easy at all. for example,sometimes I have to help my student who have a personal problem at home. Once I had a student his name Fadi his was talented in painting and very smart in Math ,the subject that I teach.I loved him a lot.He came one day to the school ,having blue color around one of his eyes, same on his neck. He broke my heart.I asked him :"what's wrong Fadi you don't seem alright."
Fadi:"nothing Miss ,I fall down yesterday while I was playing on the bike."
I start to treat him like am his friend ,take care of him and by the time he start to trust me.He told me once ,his mum left the house and his dad hit him and his brother. I talk to the director,she ask his parent to come to the school and we talk to them ,orient them that what's happening is not healthy for their future ,it could affect their personality.
Moreover a teacher should not distinguish between the learner ,some have better abilities than others or even different abilities.A smart instructor help all the learners to achieve the goal and build a good future.
what an important role a teacher have in the society ? hopefully each teacher do her/his job properly in order to help our society.
